Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Steeplechase Industries, doing business as Rescue Radar ("Rescue Radar," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Rescue Radar mobile app (the "App"). Rescue Radar is a personal tracking tool for people managing chronic migraine and rescue medication use — it is not a diagnostic tool, does not provide medical advice, and does not replace your relationship with your doctor.

Because this App handles health-related information, we've tried to be specific rather than generic below. If anything is unclear, contact us at support@migrainerescueradar.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: your email address, used to create and secure your account.
• Health and tracking data: the information you log in the App, including medication names, doses, timestamps, migraine triggers, symptom notes, and any profiles you create for family members or people you care for.
• Voice recordings (optional): if you use voice logging, your recording is sent to our transcription provider to convert speech to text for that log entry. We retain the audio only as long as needed to process the transcription, not as a permanent recording library.
• Imported files (optional): if you upload a file (spreadsheet, notes export, etc.) to import your existing medication history, its contents are processed to extract structured log entries.
• Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription and which plan, provided to us by Apple/Google's in-app purchase system and our subscription management provider. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Apple and Google handle payment directly.
• Basic usage information: events like account creation and sign-in, used to operate the App and communicate with you (e.g., transactional emails). This is not used for advertising.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the App's core functionality: tracking medication use, calculating limits, and showing trends.
• To operate features you opt into, like voice logging and file import.
• To manage your account, subscription, and customer support requests.
• To send you service-related communications (e.g., account or billing notices).
• To maintain the security and integrity of the App.

We do not use your health data to serve you advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles from it.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We use a small number of third-party providers to operate the App. Each processes only the data necessary for the function it performs:

• Supabase — hosts our database and authentication; stores your account and log data.
• OpenAI — transcribes voice recordings to text and helps parse imported files.
• Anthropic — helps parse imported files during the import process.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription status across the App Store and Google Play.
• Customer.io — sends account-related and transactional emails, and (in the future) push notifications.

These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for their own purposes beyond providing the service to us.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell your personal information or your health data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. Sharing described in Section 3 is solely to operate the features of the App.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and log data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App's settings. Deleting your account removes your profiles, medication logs, and account record from our systems, other than what we're required to retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. You can also request deletion by emailing support@migrainerescueradar.com.

6. Health Data Notice

Some of the information you log (medications, doses, migraine frequency, triggers) is "consumer health data" under laws like Washington State's My Health My Data Act and similar state laws. For that data specifically:

• Categories collected: medication and dosing logs, symptom and trigger notes, and any related notes you choose to enter.
• Purpose: solely to provide the App's tracking and trend features to you, as described in Section 2.
• Sharing: limited to the service providers listed in Section 3, solely to operate the App. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
• Your rights: you can confirm what health data we hold about you, request a copy of it, withdraw consent for future collection (by discontinuing use and deleting your account), and request deletion, by emailing support@migrainerescueradar.com.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, opt-out requests related to sale/sharing do not apply to how we operate — but you can still exercise access, correction, and deletion rights at any time by contacting support@migrainerescueradar.com.

8. Children's Privacy

Rescue Radar is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children. See our Terms of Service for the App's minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and access controls on our database — to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data appropriately given its sensitivity.

10. International Users

Rescue Radar and its service providers primarily operate in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
